# Creating a single user

Use **Add User** when one person is missing from the directory, or for a contractor or partner who will never appear in one.

## Open Add User

On **Manage Users**, click **Add User**.

## Enter Basic Details

Enter the user’s details. **Email**, **Mobile Number** and **Username** are the ones that matter; the rest can be filled in later. Click **Continue**.

## Enter Address Details

Enter the address. **Country**, **State** and **City** are dependent dropdowns, so choose the country first. Click **Continue**.

## Enter Organisation Details

Enter the **Employee ID** and select the **Department**, **Sub Department** and **Manager Name**. If the department does not exist yet, click **Create** beside the field to add it. Click **Continue**.

## Review and confirm

Check the values and click **Submit**. Use **Previous**, or the step list on the left, to go back and correct anything.

The new user appears on **Manage Users**. In the **Source** column the SECUREpass logo is shown, marking the user as created directly in SECUREpass rather than imported from a directory or a file.
