# Managing an Application

Each row in the applications list carries three actions.

## View

The eye icon opens the application's details in read-only mode.

The details panel shows the application name, integration protocol, source, access mode, status, and description as they are currently set. Nothing here can be changed — **Close** returns you to the list.

## Edit

The pencil icon reopens the application for changes.

Editing reopens the same three-step form used when the application was created — Application Details, Assign Roles, and Authentication — with the current values filled in. Change what you need on any step and save.

## Delete

The bin icon removes the application from SECUREpass.

![Selecting the delete icon.](https://content.gitbook.com/content/W2srIAMN6RKFwvuEorV5/blobs/pnJPQZjvz02RlouNn6wO/assets/image32.png)

You are asked to confirm before anything happens.

![Confirming deletion.](https://content.gitbook.com/content/W2srIAMN6RKFwvuEorV5/blobs/LqmRNzX8iv3Gwfnyqv1N/assets/image33.png)

Deleting removes the application and its configuration. Anyone who reached it through SECUREpass loses that path. If you only want to take an application out of use temporarily, set its status to inactive instead.

**Note**

Onboarding an application here does not by itself give anyone access to it. Users and groups are mapped to the application through an access rule, created under **Access Management**. This is covered in *Access control*.
