# Manage network devices

**Manage Network Devices** centrally controls authentication and access to network devices — routers, switches, firewalls and VPN gateways.

## Add a network device

### Add device details

Click **Add Network Device**.

The wizard has two steps: **Details** and **Authentication**.

| Field                  | Description                                                          |
| ---------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Name**               | Required. The name shown in the device list                          |
| **RADIUS Client IP**   | Required. The device's own IP address, as the RADIUS client          |
| **Shared Secret**      | Required. The secret shared between the device and the RADIUS server |
| **SPRadius Server IP** | Required. The SECUREpass RADIUS server address                       |
| **IDAM Server IP**     | Required. The SECUREpass IDAM server address                         |
| **Application ID**     | Optional. Links the device to a SECUREpass application               |

Click **Continue**.

### Set authentication

Choose the **primary** and **secondary** authentication modes for the device from the dropdowns.

Click **Create Device**. The device appears in the list.

## Manage a network device

**Edit** — the pencil icon reopens the device for changes.

**Delete** — the bin icon removes the device after you confirm.

This is how the different resource types — applications, public applications, systems, databases, cloud resources and network devices — are onboarded and managed in SECUREpass.
