# Managing a database

Each row carries three actions.

**Edit** — the pencil icon reopens the database for changes.

**Account Vault** — the lock icon manages stored credentials for accounts already on this system: view or check out a password, update it if it changed externally, or rotate it on demand.

The panel lists each account with its type, rotation policy and last rotation, and gives three actions of its own.

**View** — the eye icon shows the account's current password so it can be copied and shared.

**Update** — the pencil icon lets you set a new password for the account.

**Rotate** — generates a new secure password and changes it on the remote machine.

The Account Vault manages credentials only. To add or remove accounts, use **Edit System** (the pencil icon) → **Step 2 — Local Accounts**, so that roles and authentication types are configured with them.

**Delete** — removes the database from SECUREpass after you confirm.
