# Property registry

The Property Registry holds the system-wide settings that are not exposed as their own screen — ports, server addresses, feature switches and the mail behaviours that go with them.

Select **Configuration → Property Registry**.

Properties are grouped into tabs by service — **Admin**, **Securepass**, **TenantManager**, **MFA** — and each row is a key, its value, a description of what it does, whether it is active, and whether it is shown.

Typical entries are the RADIUS authentication port, the IDAM server address, and switches such as whether a welcome mail is sent on user creation or whether users are emailed when their group membership changes.

**Edit** changes a value; **Add Property** creates one. Use **Search** rather than paging — a deployment carries a couple of hundred properties.

These values are read by the services and change platform behaviour directly. A wrong port or address here does not produce a validation error — it produces a feature that quietly stops working. Change one at a time, note what you changed, and confirm the affected function still works before moving on.
